I was born in Hanover, Germany, in a British Military Hospital. My family, through the generations have all served in the British Armed Forces, including myself. During my service I was stationed in Verden and Dortmund in Germany, and Banja Luka in Bosnia.

I currently reside in Shrewsbury UK. I have returned to help care for my father who is fighting cancer and to help them organise a lifetime ambition of building their own narrow boat and travelling the UK's incredibly beautiful waterways. I will continue to live in the UK, somewhere ideally located close to a Dog Rescue Organisation in need of my experience in dog training and help re-home and rehabilitate abused and abandoned dogs.

I received most of my education in England. My favourite schooling years spent at Penrhos School in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. That’s where I began to take a passionate interest in animals and art, as I spent almost every weekend at the local Stables riding and grooming the horses and my evenings were spent in art and craft classes.

My family had four beautiful "CRAZY" German Shepherds while I was growing up, and although as a typical teenager I didn't get involved in their training I do remember wondering if their behaviour was due to their breed, medical or psychological disposition, or simply an inherent trait.

After years of travelling I moved to New York and began working as a Dog Walker in Manhattan. I discovered that New Yorkers truly worshiped their dogs but struggled to control their behaviours, primarily due to the eclectic and busy environment of the City. So I studied and attained my certificate to train Dogs from the Animal Behaviour College in CaliforniaWhile I can teach all the fundamental basic training techniques I specialise in rehabilitation and I can identify the reasons, and resolve the more advanced and problematic cases of aggressive behaviour.

It was my increased involvement with dog training and experience in animal shelters in New York, that triggered my interest in drawing them. Capturing in my portraits their true spirit and unique characteristics from thier facial expressions, which so often resembles our human emotions.
